Porcelain Dental Veneers

A porcelain veneer is a thin cosmetic covering that is bonded to the front surface of your tooth. The porcelain is tinted to match the unique color of your teeth, and has the same light-reflecting quality as healthy tooth enamel. Each veneer is crafted to match a specific tooth, and can be combined with other veneers to completely revamp your smile. In fact, veneers offer such a comprehensive improvement, and in so little time, that they are often referred to as the “instant smile makeover.”

porcelain veneers may be the optimal option for a number of cosmetic concerns, including:
  • Severely discolored or stained teeth.
  • Internal tooth discoloration
  • Chipped and/or worn teeth
  • Minor cracks on a tooth’s surface
  • Slightly misshapen teeth
  • Teeth that are too small or large (compared to those around them)
  • Unwanted or uneven spaces.
  • Smiles with several cosmetic issues to contend with
  • Crooked teeth.

What if My Smile Has More than One Cosmetic Issue?

The beauty of porcelain veneers is that they can address a wider variety of cosmetic issues than most other smile improvement options. By replacing the front surfaces of your teeth, veneers can completely change their appearance regardless of what afflicts them (unless teeth are significantly damaged or out of alignment). If your smile exhibits more than one issue, then veneers can help you achieve maximum results while avoiding the need for multiple cosmetic procedures.

Teeth Whitening

Professional teeth whitening may be the simplest and least-invasive cosmetic dental treatment, but its effects can be dramatic when your teeth are stained and discolored.

What to Expect from Teeth Whitening

Take-Home Teeth Whitening

  • One of the most convenient ways to professionally whiten your teeth is to take the treatment home with you and apply it when your schedule allows. Our take-home teeth whitening kit contains custom-made whitening trays that fit snugly over your teeth, and a supply of our professional-strength bleaching agent.
  • To apply the bleaching agent evenly, you must wear the trays for at least an hour or more each day.

In-Office Laser Teeth Whitening

  • For quicker results, Dr. Correa may suggest in-office teeth whitening, which only requires one visit and lasts just over an hour or less. During your treatment, Dr. Correa will apply the whitening gel to your teeth, and then stimulate it with a Laser
  • In-office whitening is usually recommended for patients with exceptional dental health and without tooth sensitivity.
  • After your in-office treatment, you can also opt for a take-home whitening kit so you can touch up stains and maintain your beautiful smile longer.

How Does Teeth Whitening Work?

Professional-strength teeth whitening gel is made from a peroxide-based solution, such as hydrogen peroxide. When it comes into contact with your outer layer of tooth enamel, it effectively breaks up the stains that have accumulated on it. As it works, the bleaching agent will oxidize and lighten the tooth structure directly underneath the semi-translucent enamel, and return your smile’s youthful, beautiful glow.
